Sudden Death is a one on one duel that ends the moment the two of you split. Both players answer every question. If you both get it right, or you both get it wrong, play moves on to the next one. The first time exactly one of you is right, that player wins.
The clock starts at 12 seconds and loses half a second with every question, down to a minimum of 5 seconds, so the pressure keeps building. A battle can run up to 40 questions. It is over fast when one player is clearly stronger and nerve racking when you are evenly matched.
