Battle ArenaEverything you need to start playing, in a couple of minutes.
Open the arena, pick a nickname and you are in. There is no account to make and no payment card, and it is free to play.
Your nickname and your progress live on the device you are using. If you play on another phone or computer later, use your player code (it is in Profile and friends) to carry on as the same player. Keep that code to yourself, because it signs in as you.
Quick Match finds an opponent for you and starts right away. If nobody is around, a stand-in player fills the seat so you are never left waiting.
Solo Play lets you practise on your own in a random mode.
Challenge a friend: share your friend code or a link, and they can battle you from their own device.
Host a game: you get a room code. Friends type it under Join game and everyone plays the same battle together, which is great for a party or a group chat.
Every battle is a run of multiple choice questions. Read the question, tap an answer before the clock runs out, and the right answer is shown before the next one.
A right answer scores points, and a fast right answer scores more. Each mode adds its own twist on top, like strikes, wagers, steals or elimination.
Not sure how a mode works? Each one explains itself before it starts, and every mode has its own page with the rules.
There are plenty to choose from. Classic is the best place to begin. Lightning and Buzzer reward speed. Sudden Death and 3 Strikes punish mistakes. Last Man Standing, Hot Potato and Survivor Vote are made for groups. Wager, Final Bet and Double Down are for people who like to gamble on what they know.

When a battle ends you can rate the mode from one to five stars. That is how we decide which modes to keep, improve or retire, so please tell us what you think. You can also rate any mode you have played from Rate the battle modes in the Menu, and suggest a brand new mode there too.
The Daily Duel is ten questions, the same for everyone, with one try a day. Play on days in a row to build a streak.
Battle Word of the Day shows an unusual word, then a short challenge to find out what it means.
The trivia question of the day is a single question you can try in a few seconds.
The boards show the top players for the day, the week and the season. Climb them by winning battles and playing often.
World Records keeps the best scores ever set in each mode.
The BAPG Club is for perfect games. If you get every question right in a qualifying battle, your name goes on the wall.
Add friends from their friend code, see how you compare, and send them a challenge. Players you play with can become friends after a battle.
Be kind in chat. Rude players can be reported and removed.
Arena TV puts the live arena on a big screen, which is handy at home, at a bar or at a get together. Open it from the arena on a large screen.
Use Bugs & suggestions in the Menu to tell us what went wrong. A screenshot helps a lot. Have an idea for a question pack or a new mode? Send it through the same Menu and we read every one.
