How it works

In Hot Potato, someone always holds the bomb. Everyone answers the same question for 100 points, but the holder has a special job: they must get it right to pass the bomb on. If the holder misses, the bomb blows up, they lose one of their 3 lives, and the bomb moves on anyway.

Lose all three lives and you are out. The last player with lives left wins. You get 12 seconds per question, and a battle can run up to 40 questions. Hot Potato is played with 2, 4 or 8 players. Being the holder is stressful, but the rest of the room can still score points while they watch.
