Hot Seat is a social mode with eight rounds. In each round, one player sits in the hot seat and answers a multiple choice question alone. Everyone else sees the prompt and its topic, but not the options, and bets YES or NO on whether the player in the hot seat will get it right. Or they pass. Nobody sees another bet until the reveal, and the player in the hot seat never sees any.
The hot seat player scores 100 for a right answer, plus 20 for every NO bettor they prove wrong. A bettor who called it right scores 60, a wrong bet scores 0, and no bet scores 20. It plays with 4 or 8 players, so everyone gets their turn, and it is not counted for ratings. Reading your friends well is as good as knowing the facts.
