Mystery Box adds a dose of luck to a skill game. Every time you answer correctly, you open a mystery box, and what is inside is a surprise. It can give you a bonus of 100 points, double your score for up to 500 more, cut your score in half, steal 150 points from the leader, or hand you a shield that blocks the next bad box or steal.
There are 15 questions, so you can open up to 15 boxes. Knowing your trivia gets you boxes, but the box itself decides how far they take you. That keeps every position in play and makes comebacks possible, which is why the mode suits mixed groups where not everyone is a trivia expert.
