In Steal, players take turns answering. On your turn, you are the only one who can answer the question. Get it right and you score as usual. Get it wrong, or run out of time, and the question opens up to the other players, who get 7 seconds to steal it.
The first other player to answer right scores 100 points and takes another 50 straight out of your score. If nobody steals it, you keep what you have. There are 16 questions, and the mode is played by two or four players. Every miss is a gift to your rivals, so it rewards careful play on your own turn and sharp attention on everyone else's.
